Key Responsibilities- Stocking and Merchandising: Unpack and stock produce received by the store, counting, weighing, and sorting items as needed.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate computerized stock inventory, recording incoming stock and ensuring that shelves and display areas are fully stocked.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, answering questions and resolving issues related to produce products.
- Cash Handling: Operate a cash register, processing electronic transactions and handling customer payments.
- Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the produce section, to ensure a positive shopping experience for customers.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to accurately count, weigh, and sort produce items.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to maintain accurate inventory records and ensure that shelves and display areas are fully stocked.
- Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with customers and colleagues.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and move quickly in a fast-paced environment.
- Work Environment: Grocery store environment with frequent exposure to refrigerated and ambient temperatures.
- Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, including weekends and holidays.
