Job Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled Collections Manager to join our team. This role involves supervising and coordinating the daily activities of collection officers and supervisors, ensuring the effective management of our debt recovery operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement work schedules and procedures to optimize team performance
- Resolve complex work-related problems and identify training needs
- Monitor daily attendance and performance, setting expectations and completion goals
- Audit and adhere to work plans, ensuring compliance with Credit and Collections policy
- May perform collection duties, quality assurance of calls through call monitoring, and file audits
- Conduct weekly training sessions, hiring interviews, and performance reviews
- Handle escalated calls and provide exceptional customer service
- Proven experience in Credit and Collections, with a strong understanding of policy, systems, and controls
- Excellent technical skills, including MS Office products and collection software
- Strong analytical, communication, negotiation, and motivational skills
- Ability to lead and mentor a team, with a hands-on, proactive leadership style
- Preference for a minimum of 2 years of related experience and a background in the Telecom/1st party/Credit Card/Payment Processing industry
