Your mission, should you choose to accept it:

In partnership with the Project Manager, the Site Project Coordinator is accountable for overseeing the technical advancement of on-site operations. This role facilitates communication among various teams, manages project-related technical information, and ensures adherence to standards. This position requires presence on-site in a rotational capacity.

Do you possess the necessary skills? A positive attitude and:

  • A degree in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience;
  • Membership in a recognized Canadian Engineering Association;
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in similar roles;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Willingness to relocate as needed;
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, both verbal and written;
  • Excellent abilities in management, negotiation, problem-solving, and conflict resolution;
  • Demonstrated initiative, independence, and leadership capabilities;
  • Adaptability to high-pressure environments and variable weather conditions (construction site).

What you will do to ensure the success of this mission:

Management

  • Collaborate with the Project Manager to oversee all site activities;
  • Assist the Project Manager with insurance-related matters;
  • Develop work cycles and detailed schedules;
  • Supervise project facilities and site development;
  • Oversee suppliers, including turbine manufacturers, ensuring compliance with specifications and quality standards;
  • Maintain technical relationships with professionals and subcontractors, working closely with the site team;
  • Organize internal meetings to discuss worker productivity, analyze production rates across various trades, and provide progress reports to management;
  • Ensure design follow-up with consulting engineers, in collaboration with the Site Coordinator.

    Documentation
  • Prepare estimates with relevant trade Coordinators, contract documents, and payment requests;
  • Maintain registers of technical documentation and ensure compliance and control of documents;
  • Verify the validity of necessary permits before work commencement;
  • Distribute construction drawings and manage changes to final project drawings;
  • Complete the Monthly Report (MMM) with assistance from Coordinators and the Superintendent;
  • Ensure all deliverables are finalized at project completion;
  • Transfer contractual quality documents to the client.

    Health and Safety
  • Conduct site inspections prior to work initiation;
  • Collaborate with the Site Health and Safety Advisor to develop the site safety program and participate in safety meetings and training;
  • Provide relevant information for OHS incident follow-ups to the Project Manager's representative;
  • Assist in preparing initial occupational risk assessments with the Site Health and Safety Advisor;
  • Work with the Site Health & Safety Advisor to ensure compliance with all site regulations.

    Quality Control
  • Engage in the creation, implementation, and application of the quality plan;
  • Conduct regular internal quality audits;
  • Support and approve the preparation of execution procedures, ensuring their implementation and review with Coordinators and subcontractors;
  • Identify necessary good practice manuals for the project and ensure their application;
  • Ensure inspection of building materials upon delivery and complete reports as required;
  • Verify work conducted by site engineers and subcontractors, performing necessary inspections per approved procedures;
  • Address non-conformities and issues on-site, monitoring corrective actions.
