Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the Chief Executive Officer is responsible for the comprehensive management of Long Term Care (96-beds), Retirement Suites (78), Independent Apartments (90+), Independent Garden Homes (18), along with Supportive Housing, Home & Community Support Services, and the upcoming Seniors Active Living Centre. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated leader with exceptional leadership, communication, and customer service capabilities. Strong leadership qualities are essential for mentoring, coaching, and cultivating excellent relationships with staff, residents, and families. A thorough understanding of all facets of senior living and the ability to take initiative independently is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Oversee recruitment, orientation, and performance management of key personnel while promoting efficient performance and positive staff morale.
  2. Provide leadership and direct oversight to nursing, food services, environmental services, programming, housing, and financial operations.
  3. Foster relationships and promote stability among staff, residents, families, volunteers, contract service providers, and the broader community.
  4. Lead and supervise the daily operations of the care campus.
  5. Contribute to the formulation of policies and procedures.
  6. Engage in budget development and capital planning processes.
  7. Ensure adherence to all regulatory and governmental standards.
  8. Participate in strategic planning with the Board, developing operational objectives to fulfill the strategic plan.
  9. Advocate for and educate all stakeholders on diversity, equity, and inclusion practices through our Kindness Initiative.
Qualifications
  1. At least 3 to 5 years of experience in Senior Living management.
  2. A minimum of a 3-year degree or a 2-year diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution.
  3. Completion or enrollment in a long-term care administration management course comprising at least 100 hours of instruction.
  4. In-depth knowledge of MOHLTC regulations.
  5. Experience in labor relations, financial management, strategic planning, and risk management.
