We believe our greatest asset is our people. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the position of Carbon Engineering Specialist within our Carbon Engineering group based in Squamish, British Columbia, Canada.

The **Carbon Engineering Specialist** will be responsible for ensuring robust systems, procedures, and controls are in place for laboratory, bench, and pilot-scale test equipment and execution under the guidance of the Technology Development Director of Low Carbon Ventures.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize the protection of the environment and the health and safety of our employees, customers, and the communities where we operate or transport our products.
  • Implement and maintain safe work procedures for Carbon Engineering equipment and experiments.
  • Design and construct test equipment at laboratory, bench, or pilot scales.
  • Utilize appropriate design calculations to develop or select new equipment or instrumentation. When necessary, engage third-party consultants for technical review or independent design consultation.
  • Conduct experiments at the laboratory, bench, or pilot scales.
  • Perform standard and unique analytical methods.
  • Process and analyze experimental data using appropriate statistical methods.
  • Define key questions to gain a comprehensive understanding of new concepts. Plan, design, and execute experiments to answer these questions.
  • Interpret results and communicate findings in both written and verbal formats to diverse audiences, supporting data-driven decision-making.
  • Leverage learnings to define the logical next steps for the project.
