Job Summary

We are seeking a Home Support Worker to join our team. As a Home Support Worker, you will provide in-home support and emergency response services to our clients using a client-centred approach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide in-home support and emergency response services to clients
  • Work collaboratively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of client interactions and care provided

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved Personal Support Worker course in Ontario, or equivalent
  • Experience in community care an asset
  • Current CPR Certificate and current First Aid Certificate
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to take initiative, problem solve, and time manage
  • Ability to work independently as well as be an active, positive team player
  • Computer literacy
  • Shift work, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends
  • Ability to speak and converse in Chinese an asset
  • Access to own vehicle for regular travel to client sites
