About This Opportunity

Black & McDonald's Saskatchewan Service team is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Building Operator to join our team. As a Building Operator, you will be responsible for completing regularly scheduled preventative building maintenance tasks in a timely manner, ensuring that various buildings operate safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a rotation of HVAC maintenance and log readings
  • Filter changing, belt changing, and coil cleaning
  • Perform daily regular duties, equipment adjustment, inspections, and cleaning
  • Other tasks as agreed upon by the client and Black & McDonald

Work Experience Requirements

  • 1-3 years' experience in a technical occupation related to HVAC services and equipment
  • Building Automation Controls experience considered an asset but not required
  • 5th Class Power Engineer including Fireman's Certificate considered an asset but not required

Skills, Abilities, and Other Requirements

  • Good analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills with a desire to exceed customer expectations
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills required
  • Follows instructions both, written and verbal
  • Maintains a professional demeanor at all times with fellow employees, subs, and customers
  • Accomplishes all duties and tasks as assigned
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures and adheres to company standards
  • Must be able to work on ladder or scaffold at various heights
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 kg (bending and lifting is required)
  • Must be able to work in confined spaces, training available
  • Must be able to pass Federal Government Security Clearance
