Job Title: Chef de cuisine

Join our team at Taj Indian Cuisine as a skilled Chef de cuisine. We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to lead our kitchen team and create delicious dishes for our customers.

Job Description:Responsibilities:
  • Determine the size of food portions and costs
  • Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies
  • Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods
  • Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
  • Prepare and cook special meals for patients as instructed by dietitian or chef
  • Inspect kitchens and food service areas
  • Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
  • Order supplies and equipment
  • Supervise kitchen staff and helpers
  • Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment
  • Clean kitchen and work areas
  • Organize buffets and banquets
  • Manage kitchen operations
Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Permanent employment
  • English as the primary language of work
  • 40 hours per week
Work Environment:

Our restaurant is located in a busy area with public transportation available. The work environment is fast-paced and physically demanding, requiring attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
