LPN Specialist Responsibilities:
Overview: Deliver fundamental medical and nursing support, including monitoring vital signs and managing catheter placements, ensuring patient comfort, engaging in health discussions with patients, and updating registered nurses and healthcare providers on patient conditions.
Key Duties
Assess and address patient needs through telephone triage.
Administer medications, including injections; accurately document medications administered or prescribed by the attending physician as required by specialty.
Identify educational needs for patients and their families, providing necessary guidance.
Recognize and appropriately respond to emergency situations.
Comply with Clinical Services policies and procedures when recording information in patients' medical records.
Ensure smooth patient flow to uphold the efficiency of the physician's office.
Required Qualifications: Must be a graduate from an accredited Practical Nursing program. Must hold an active Florida license as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience or training in a healthcare setting as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
Additional Requirements: Minimum of 1 year experience in a primary care environment. Current BLS certification or to be obtained within three months of employment.
Medical Assistant Professional Responsibilities:
Overview: Medical Assistants perform essential administrative and clinical tasks to ensure the smooth operation of physician offices and other healthcare facilities. Alongside administrative responsibilities, Medical Assistants execute clinical duties in accordance with state regulations.
Key Duties
Prepare and assist patients for their office visits.
Support the physician during medical office procedures.
Administer medications, including injections; document medications given or prescribed by the attending physicians as required by specialty.
Follow nursing policies and procedures when documenting patient information in medical records.
Maintain the integrity and organization of the office.
Take responsibility for maintaining current CPR certification.
Stay informed by reading and referencing new policies and procedures and Nursing Update newsletters.
Required Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 1 year of Medical Assistant experience within the last 2 years. Medical Assistant Certification must be achieved within 90 days of employment. Current BLS certification or to be obtained within the first 90 days of employment.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience or training in a healthcare setting as a Medical Assistant.
Additional Requirements: Minimum of 1 year experience in a primary care environment. Current BLS certification or to be obtained within three months of employment.
Note: A sign-on bonus will be provided in full after the successful completion of the probationary period. A one (1) year commitment is required. NEW EMPLOYEES ONLY.
