POSITION SUMMARY: The Manufacturing Machine Technician is responsible for the safe operation, troubleshooting, and management of production machinery. This role encompasses three distinct levels (I, II, & III), with advancement based on experience, versatility in various roles, and proven problem-solving skills that enhance production efficiency and minimize downtime.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment.
- Operate and maintain assigned machinery according to established standard operating procedures.
- Consistently achieve or surpass production output targets.
- Verify that products conform to specified tolerances and quality standards.
- Conduct routine quality inspections to ensure compliance.
- Interpret and follow production instructions accurately.
- Maintain precise documentation of production activities.
- Package, label, and store finished products appropriately.
- Cross-train in various production roles as needed.
- Keep the work area clean and organized to promote operational efficiency.
- Report safety, quality, and mechanical issues and assist in their resolution.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Set up and operate additional equipment as required.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS: No formal education is required for this position.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Previous experience or training is not necessary.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
- Exhibits reliability, adaptability, and dependability.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The incumbent must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach, climb, balance, kneel, talk, hear, taste, smell, and lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
COMPENSATION: The hourly wage for this position typically ranges from $20.80 to $23.65, depending on qualifications and operational needs.
