About the Role:

The Account Manager will be responsible for growing profit for Univar's market share within a geographic area, utilizing a consultative selling process. This involves identifying and capturing new business opportunities at existing accounts and prospective new accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively plan customer visits 1-2 weeks in advance to ensure effective sales strategies.
  • Call on established and prospective customers to sell company products and services within the natural gas industry.
  • Grow Univar's industrial footprint within Fort St. John and surrounding areas by developing and executing sales strategies.
  • Maintain a high-integrity sampling program for key customers to ensure quality and satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service and Operations to maintain customer service levels and resolve complaints.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing department to ensure availability of product and meet customer needs.
  • Develop selling strategies with corporate team members to target and grow sales at Key Accounts.
  • Utilize Salesforce.com to manage customer information during all planning phases.
  • Travel within the territory is expected on a regular basis, with possibility of overnight travel.

Requirements:

  • 2-3 years (or more) previous sales and/or customer-facing experience.
  • Chemical sales experience is an asset.
  • Effective and engaging communication skills.
  • Self-motivated and eager mentality.
  • Ability to relate to, and communicate with individuals at all levels.

What We Offer:

The annual expected salary range for this position is $70,000 - 95,000. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, including relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a Northern Living Allowance, bonus incentive pay, and company vehicle.
