Position Overview
Under the general guidance of the Health Services Manager, and while upholding the Mission, Values, and Management Philosophy of St. Boniface Hospital, the Clinical Practice Nurse - Registered Nurse (RN) delivers expert nursing services to patients, including those with intricate and unpredictable health conditions. These services encompass autonomous nursing care, administration of prescribed medical interventions, a leadership role within the healthcare team, and the orchestration of patient care and discharge processes.
Experience
- Completion of a post-graduate course in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nursing or equivalent experience is mandatory.
Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)
- Must be a graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing education program.
Certification/Licensure/Registration
- Current registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Manitoba (CRNM) is essential.
- Active involvement in professional organizations, such as the Association of Regulated Nurses of Manitoba (ARNM), is preferred.
- Annual Basic Life Support (BLS) Level C Registration/Re-Registration is required.
Qualifications and Skills
- Understanding of the scope of practice as outlined in the Regulated Health Professions Act (RHPA).
- If no candidates meet the specified qualifications, the employer may consider applicants who do not fulfill the above criteria.
