Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Casual Switchboard/Cashier/Registration/Health Records Clerk to join our team at Queen Victoria Hospital in Revelstoke, B.C. This is a casual opportunity with rotating shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.

As a Casual Switchboard/Cashier/Registration/Health Records Clerk, you will perform a variety of clerical duties, including operating the switchboard, patient registration, health records, cashier functions, and maintaining supplies. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities
• Operating the switchboard and public address system
• Receiving and directing patients and visitors
• Maintaining health records, including pulling and assembling charts/files, identifying and processing corrections, and reviewing completed charts for accuracy
• Responding to and monitoring hospital alarms and emergency codes
• Maintaining physician on-call/vacation lists and other hospital staff
• Patient registration and cashier duties, including receiving payments, recording payments in cash journals, and issuing change and receipts
• Maintaining supply inventory and ordering stock and non-stock items
• Receiving, checking, and depositing patient valuables for safekeeping

Requirements
• Completion of Grade 12
• A current Typing Test of 45 wpm or greater completed within the past 48 months from a recognized institution
• One year's recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• Your Resume indicating one year's recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
• A Cover Letter stating your availability
