Your Role
We are seeking a Senior Engineer specializing in Automation, Communication, and Network Systems to enhance our electrical and automation team. This role is pivotal in executing feasibility studies and detailed engineering projects for both underground and surface mining operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, contributing to our goal of zero harm.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan and execute project work, including scoping and asset integrity assessments.
- Provide engineering support tailored to client needs, ensuring timely and cost-effective solutions.
- Engage with various departments to facilitate project execution.
- Review engineering drawings to identify potential safety and constructability issues.
- Design and analyze automation, communication, and network systems in compliance with relevant codes.
- Incorporate innovative practices and standardization into engineering designs.
- Deliver high-quality reports and calculation packages as part of project deliverables.
- Communicate project updates and challenges to project leaders.
Qualifications
Skills and Experience
- Proactive self-starter capable of adapting to change with minimal supervision.
- In-depth knowledge of design codes and familiarity with Mine Safety and Health Administration regulations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, complemented by strong interpersonal abilities.
- Previous experience leading engineering projects within a consulting environment.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities and project engineering expertise.
- Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead project teams effectively.
- Experience in conducting inspections and assessments of automation and communication infrastructure.
- Willingness to travel as required for client engagements.
Education and Credentials
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Professional Engineering license is mandatory.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in engineering, design, and construction within heavy industry, especially in mining.

- Mine Services Process Control and Instrumentation Design.
- Hoisting System Process Control.
- Ventilation Systems.
- Process Piping Systems.
- Instrumentation Design.
- Mine Automation and Communication Systems.
- Network Programming.
- PLC/HMI Systems.
- Wireless Communication Systems.
