Key Duties

Reporting to the Executive Chef or designated supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

  • Complying with hotel standards regarding food quality, recipes, and preparation methods.
  • Preparing ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing.
  • Washing and peeling fresh produce.
  • Measuring and mixing ingredients accurately.
  • Ensuring the highest quality in food preparation.
  • Setting up and ensuring readiness of menu items.
  • Following guidelines for seasoning, portions, and presentation of dishes.
  • Properly storing unused food to minimize waste and maintain quality.
  • Practicing proper health, safety, and sanitation procedures.
  • Coordinating with related Food and Beverage Departments for smooth kitchen operations.
  • Preparing hot and cold dishes according to established recipes and standards.
  • Performing additional duties as required.
  • Being available to prepare all menu items, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and banquets as needed.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
