Job Description
Key Responsibilities- Project Oversight: Supervise the construction project and all operations on site to ensure timely completion and quality of work.
- Quality Assurance: Uphold quality standards by ensuring that materials and workmanship meet company expectations.
- Team Management: Organize and supervise site staff, trades, and contractors to ensure they are performing to required standards and reporting progress.
- Project Coordination: Track and log daily manpower on site, maintain a project diary, and ensure that health and safety project plans and MOL requirements are implemented and followed.
- Financial Management: Work with the Project Manager to manage Division 1 costs and ensure that the budget is followed.
- Scheduling: Create, monitor, and update project schedules, ensuring that the schedule and look-ahead schedules are followed and providing updates to the Project Manager/Senior Management as required.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in construction as a Mid-Rise/ICI Site Superintendent working on multiple full-cycle mid-rise/ICI developments (5+ storeys).
- Post-secondary education in Business, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management or equivalent (MBA and M. Eng. Preferred).
- All necessary certifications, including Working at Heights, WHIMIS, First Aid, and Basics of Supervision.
- Thorough knowledge of designing and building large-scale multi-family construction projects.
- Able to read construction working drawings, including architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and landscape drawings.
