We are seeking a dedicated Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I to join our esteemed healthcare facility. In this role, you will play a crucial part in delivering high-quality patient care by conducting essential laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging procedures.
Your responsibilities will encompass:
- Patient Interaction: Prepare patients for various tests and procedures, ensuring their comfort and understanding.
- Specimen Collection: Perform venipuncture and collect biological samples for analysis.
- Diagnostic Imaging: Conduct X-ray examinations and ECGs, meticulously reporting findings.
- Equipment Management: Maintain laboratory and imaging equipment, adhering to quality control protocols.
Classification: Combined Lab/X-Ray Tech I
Union: HSAA FAC PROF/TECH
Unit and Program: Lab and Diagnostic Imaging
Employee Class: Regular Part Time
Hours per Shift: 7.75
Shift Pattern: Days, Evenings, Weekends, On Call
Compensation: Salary range from $35.45 to $46.69 per hour.
Qualifications: Candidates must possess a diploma in Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technology (CLXT) and be registered with the Alberta College of Combined Laboratory and X-ray Technologists (ACCLXT). Recent experience in cardiology and proficiency in computer applications are essential. Additionally, Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification is required.
Preferred Skills: Familiarity with diagnostic imaging and laboratory equipment, as well as experience with the Epic LIS system, will be advantageous.
