Job Title: Child Care Operations Manager

Join the YMCA of Greater Vancouver team as a Child Care Operations Manager, responsible for leading the Child Care programs in the Prince George Region.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for building relationships, coaching, and performance management. They will be accountable for achieving operational goals and delivering the business plan for all Child Care programs within the Prince George Region.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and collaborate with Child Care Coordinators of the respective region
  • Create a team culture dedicated to children and quality child care
  • Train using adult learning principles
  • Ensure quality delivery of YMCA curriculums that align with Y mission, vision, and goals
  • Maintain confidentiality of information related to the centre, children, families, and staff
  • Adhere to and ensure compliance with all Child Care Licensing Regulations and YMCA Child Protection Policies
Requirements:
  • BC ECE Degree or Diploma or combination of ECE and experience
  • 3 years' leadership experience in child care and child development preferred
  • Experience leading an effective, engaged team will be considered an asset
  • Current child care First Aid certificate or willingness to obtain
  • Satisfactory Criminal Record and Clear Vulnerable Sector Search
  • Three satisfactory professional references
  • Reliable transportation within Prince George Region
