About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled EHS Advisor to join our team at Aecon Concessions. As a key member of our Industrial Division, you will be responsible for promoting a health, safety, and environmental culture across all levels of employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct safety orientations and training sessions for workers, owners, and clients.
  • Develop and implement safety plans, including emergency response plans and environmental site safety plans.
  • Conduct workplace inspections, behavior-based observations, and audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Update Material Safety Data Sheets and distribute safety materials, supplies, and equipment as needed.
  • Provide safety presentations to clients and promote the Aecon safety system to potential industry clients.
  • Conduct studies and analyze EHS data trends to identify areas for improvement.
  • Recommend and monitor corrective actions to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Assist with workers' compensation claims and develop return-to-work and modified work programs.
  • Investigate incidents and mediate health and safety issues for resolution.
  • Liaise with government agencies as required and prepare for external safety audits.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in the EHS field, with a strong background in safety and compliance.
  • CRST certification and OHS Certificate or Diploma are preferred.
  • Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
