About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority is seeking a skilled Dietitian to provide expert nutrition advice and support to patients, families, and healthcare teams. As a key member of the Nutrition and Food Services team, you will play a vital role in promoting healthy eating habits and preventing malnutrition.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing evidence-informed nutrition care to patients with complex medical needs
  • Collaborating with healthcare teams to develop and implement nutrition plans
  • Participating in the Dietetic Practicum and Internship program to support the development of future dietitians
  • Contributing to quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Dietitian who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to a dynamic team environment.

About You

We are seeking a candidate with:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Human Nutrition from a recognized university
  • Dietetic Internship Program completion
  • Current registration with the Nova Scotia College of Dietitians and Nutritionists
  • Minimum one year of experience as a Dietitian, preferably in an inpatient clinical setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a healthcare team
