Transforming Software Development at Amazon

We are seeking a talented Software Development Manager to join the Apollo team at Amazon. As a key member of our organization, you will drive the evolution of Amazon software abstractions, making creating and managing services easier for Amazon builders and allowing them to focus on their customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and architect new and existing systems, ensuring reliability and scalability
  • Lead the definition and development of multi-tier web services, collaborating with product and program management teams
  • Partner with engineering teams to improve software development practices and patterns
  • Recruit, hire, mentor, and manage teams of Software Engineers to improve their skills and effectiveness
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of engineering team management experience
  • 7+ years of working directly within engineering teams experience
  • 3+ years of designing or architecting systems experience
  • 8+ years of leading the definition and development of multi-tier web services experience
  • Knowledge of engineering practices and patterns for the full software/hardware/networks development life cycle

The base salary for this position ranges from $171,400/year up to $286,200/year. Salary is based on a number of factors and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company, offering a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
