Software Development Manager Job Description

Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC is seeking a highly skilled Software Development Manager to lead our software development team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building, maintaining, and improving the technology that enables Amazon to Hire and Develop the Best.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of software developers to design, develop, and deploy scalable and adaptable software solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product vision and roadmap.
  • Drive architectural design choices and invent new features to meet business needs.
  • Develop distributed services and build a scalable platform.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, maintainability, performance, availability, and customer service.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of engineering team management experience.
  • Experience partnering with product or program management teams.
  • Experience designing or architecting new and existing systems.
