Job Title: Field Heavy Equipment Technician

Brandt is currently seeking a skilled Field Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team in Prince George.

This is a challenging role that requires the ability to diagnose, repair, and maintain complex heavy equipment and attachments used in construction and forestry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and diagnose equipment issues, and perform repairs and maintenance to ensure optimal performance.
  • Use a variety of tools and equipment, including hand and power tools, to complete tasks efficiently and safely.
  • Document all work performed, including machine information, actions taken, and time spent, to ensure accurate records.
  • Assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
  • Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
Requirements:
  • Previous mechanical experience in a heavy equipment environment is preferred.
  • Certified Journeyperson in the Heavy Duty Equipment technician trade or equivalent designated trade is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team, and branch personnel.
  • Ability to meet physical demands, including climbing, overhead lifting, prolonged standing, and sensory processing.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
