Role Summary:
The Sales Account Executive will play a crucial role within the sales department, focusing on customer acquisition and initial outreach, while also managing incoming leads and retention inquiries. This individual will be tasked with promoting all of Parkland's commercial offerings, handling inside sales, account management, and customer support. Collaboration with the Commercial outside sales teams and other internal stakeholders will be essential. This role will actively seek commercial product opportunities, drive sign-ups, and ensure a seamless transition for new clients to our services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Sales Leads Inbox.
- Assist both new and existing clients with sales-related inquiries, including:
- Establishing new accounts.
- Managing pricing requests and adjustments.
- Engaging clients on potential business opportunities.
- Redirecting complex customer inquiries to appropriate teams.
- Forwarding non-sales inquiries to the Customer Experience team.
- Establishing new accounts.
- Proactively identify sales leads through data analysis, online research, competitive insights, and referrals from the Outside Sales team. Follow up on these leads and assess opportunities. Depending on the opportunity's scale, may refer to the commercial outside sales team.
- For qualified opportunities within a specified annual volume range, collaborate with clients and internal teams to finalize sales (i.e., secure new accounts for the commercial division).
- Input sales leads into Salesforce (Customer Relationship Management software), updating progress and providing reports as necessary.
- Transfer leads exceeding a predetermined annual volume range to the Commercial Outside Sales team and provide support as needed to qualify opportunities and finalize sales.
Qualifications:
- Self-motivated individual with strong organizational abilities.
- Experience in Transportation, Oil & Gas, Construction, or Agriculture is advantageous.
- Proficient in building effective professional relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Capability to initiate cold calls and generate sales leads.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong analytical and time management capabilities.
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Capacity to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce) and PowerBI.
- A university degree is a plus.
- Previous sales experience is beneficial.
