About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Carpentry Specialist to join our team at Hardwall Construction Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship in all aspects of carpentry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and layout building sites in accordance with building codes and regulations, using precision measuring tools.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join various materials, including wood, wood substitutes, and lightweight steel, to create precise and durable structures.
  • Construct foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems to meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware to ensure a seamless and functional finish.
  • Train and supervise apprentices to develop their skills and knowledge in carpentry.
  • Oversee and coordinate the work of other tradespeople to ensure efficient and effective project completion.
  • Estimate costs and materials to ensure accurate budgeting and resource allocation.
  • Maintain, repair, and renovate residential and commercial properties, including wooden structures in various settings.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work in a fast-paced construction environment with a combination of sitting, standing, walking, and physical activity.
  • Perform tasks that require bending, crouching, and kneeling to ensure safety and quality.
  • Work in a physically demanding role that requires manual labor and attention to detail.
Experience and Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in carpentry or a related trade.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes and regulations and ability to apply them in practice.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to train and supervise apprentices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve project goals.
