Publicis Health Toronto is seeking a Medical Editor for a contract opportunity that allows for remote work. The role involves ensuring that all copy meets the stringent requirements of our clients' medical-legal committees, as well as adhering to regulations set forth by Health Canada and the FDA.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with Copywriters, Creative Teams, and Account Services to develop medically accurate marketing content. Assess medically relevant, topical, and well-organized content across various marketing materials. Analyze the reliability of sources provided by clients and external agencies. Provide training to Publicis Health staff and freelancers regarding product research and claims limitations. Educate team members on various disease states. Inform staff and freelancers about clients' regulatory standards. Review finalized documents to ensure compliance with the client's regulatory approval process. Be prepared to justify editorial decisions during the client's regulatory review meetings. Assist copywriters by sourcing relevant literature. Vet, inquire, and respond to medical and regulatory feedback from the client's review team.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in life sciences or a degree in regulatory affairs relevant to the US/Canada. Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical writing or editing. Knowledge of pharmaceutical marketing formats in the US and Canada. Understanding of pharmaceutical marketing regulations in the US and Canada. Familiarity with medical-legal review processes. Capability to supervise junior staff members. Proficiency in reading and interpreting medical literature. Ability to effectively search for relevant medical literature. Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team. Proficient in Microsoft Word; familiarity with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft PowerPoint is a plus.
