About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team at Alleviate Physiotherapy. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in supporting our physiotherapists and occupational therapists in the assessment and rehabilitation of patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assessment and Treatment
    • Assist physiotherapists and occupational therapists in the assessment of patients to identify treatment needs.
    • Carry out treatment programs under the direction of physiotherapists and/or occupational therapists to rehabilitate patients with various injuries or disabilities.
  • Administrative Support
    • Clean and maintain equipment to ensure a safe and efficient working environment.
    • Schedule and confirm appointments to ensure seamless patient flow.
    • Manage routine office functions, including reception, telephone, and booking appointments.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Communicate effectively with patients, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
    • Work collaboratively as part of a dynamic healthcare team to achieve outstanding patient outcomes.
    Requirements
    • Education
      • College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent.
    • Experience
      • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
    • Personal Qualities
      • Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
      • Strong organizational and time management skills.
      • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
    • Work Environment
      • Work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks.
