Job Overview

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school education is required.
  • Experience: Training will be provided for the right candidates.
Key Responsibilities
  • Expertise in driving in mountainous terrains.
  • Operate specialized lighter trucks for various purposes.
  • Responsible for loading and unloading of cargo.
  • Drive and operate both straight and articulated trucks for the transportation of goods and materials.
  • Monitor vehicle conditions and conduct inspections on tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other essential equipment.
  • Perform necessary brake adjustments as required.
  • Conduct thorough pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections while overseeing all vehicle aspects.
  • Communicate effectively with central dispatch to relay information.
  • Maintain accurate records of cargo details, service hours, distance traveled, and fuel usage.
  • Ensure safety and security of cargo through proper tarping techniques.
  • Handle and transport hazardous materials safely.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Possession of an AZ class license is mandatory.
Documentation Skills
  • Familiarity with driver logbooks.
  • Ability to manage maintenance and repair documentation.
  • Knowledge of trans-border documentation requirements.
  • Experience in preparing trip reports.
Safety and Security Requirements
  • A valid passport is necessary.
  • Must provide a driving record check (abstract).
Work Conditions
  • Work Term: Permanent position.
