Key Information:
- Minimum of 5 years in a superintendent capacity.
- At least 10 years of experience in civil construction.
- 3-5 years of specialized experience in Underground Utilities.
- Ability to plan, schedule, and manage crews within designated budgets and timelines.
- Work hours: Various shifts based on project requirements, typically 12-hour days.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
- Compensation is based on experience.
- Comprehensive health benefits and vacation pay are included.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and direction of crews to ensure adherence to budget and timelines.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to General Foreman, Foreman, and other field personnel.
- Collaborate with Safety Advisors to maintain a safe working environment.
- Organize construction functions to establish an effective operational framework.
- Direct the overall construction program for assigned projects.
- Ensure compliance with project schedules.
- Lead initiatives to maximize productivity on-site.
Qualifications and Certifications:
- A minimum of 5 years in a Superintendent role.
- 3-5 years of experience in Underground Utilities construction is essential.
- Excellent communication skills are required.
- Experience as an Equipment Operator or similar field experience is advantageous.
- Certification in Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS-09), WHMIS 2015, Ground Disturbance Level II, and Leadership for Safety Excellence is mandatory.
- Proficiency in software applications, particularly Microsoft Office (Excel) and proprietary software, is necessary.
- Travel is a requirement; a valid driver's license is essential.
- A driver's abstract must be obtained within 30 days prior to the start of employment.
- A reliable means of transportation is required.
- Proficient English language skills are necessary.
Education: High school diploma is required.
