Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

Regional Sewer and Watermain Ltd. is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to operate a variety of heavy equipment, including backhoes, excavators, and loaders. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment, as well as performing routine maintenance and repairs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate heavy equipment, including backhoes, excavators, and loaders, in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment, as needed.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly secured and stored when not in use.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on industry best practices and new technologies.
Requirements:
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and inclement weather. The work environment will be physically demanding, requiring the ability to lift, carry, and maneuver heavy equipment and materials.
