We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Island Health - Vancouver Island Health Authority. This is a regular full-time training opportunity to prepare staff to work in our Island Health specialty department.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients/residents in the hospital or community in accordance with our unit/program philosophy, competency guidelines, and BCCNM Standards for Nursing Practice in British Columbia.
- Work collaboratively with the Nurse Manager, Department Head, or designate to plan and deliver patient care.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external contacts, including co-workers, physicians, community agency representatives, patients, residents, and families.
- Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
- Recent related medical and/or surgical experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively, organize workload, and prioritize tasks.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
