We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Specialist to join our Buildings and Infrastructure group in Canada. The successful candidate will work closely with the Canadian HSE Manager and Director to develop, implement, and administer safety, health, security, and environmental protection programs affecting offices and projects with multiple clients across Canada.

As an HSE Specialist, you will be responsible for providing administrative support, technical and regulatory guidance, and governance oversight to ensure alignment and consistent implementation of the Jacobs HSE program.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Canadian HSE Manager and Director with the implementation of the BeyondZero program within the BIA group, including projects and offices in Canada.
- Establish working relationships and provide visible support to all stakeholders by providing administrative support, technical and regulatory guidance, and governance oversight to ensure alignment and consistent implementation of the Jacobs HSE program.
- Support the Certificate of Recognition (COR) certification process.
- Support the administration of Workers Compensation accounts across Canada.
- Support monitoring and performance reporting of the HSSE strategic plan.
- Support specific HSE initiatives to drive BeyondZero performance.
- Where appropriate, support HSE training or procedure development and/or review for implementation specific to Canadian needs and regulatory requirements.
- Support implementation and monitoring of the HSE training program to ensure HSE training requirements are met.
- Support the incident notification, investigation, and reporting process.
- Contribute to Canadian HSE communications and dissemination of information.
- Support the review and development of Canada-wide, project, and office HSE plans and hazard assessments.
- Support office safety programs, including office HSE plans, emergency response plans, and Joint Health and Safety/Beyond Zero committees, as deemed necessary.
- Establish and maintain positive client, partner, and subcontractor relationships to support business operations.
- Support HSE prequalification reviews of subcontractors/subconsultants.
- Support and/or conduct HSE office and project audits in accordance with governance plan.
- Minimal travel, as approved, is required to be successful in this role.
