Job Description

**Desktop Technician Role at CB Canada**

We are seeking a skilled Desktop Technician to join our team at CB Canada. As a Desktop Technician, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our desktop computers and related equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical assistance to users, resolve and prevent problems in a production environment, and perform systems-level software installation and updates.
  • Act as a single point of contact for all technology-related issues and work closely with Community Leads to provide end-level support for the citizen group.
  • Manage customer issues, resolve them directly or engage internal resources to do so, and maintain a timely and organized approach to task completion.
  • Collaborate with members of the team to find innovative solutions and share information to ensure seamless support.
  • Provide technical liaison services with other departments for assistance with implementing new projects and support assigned systems as an internal consultant.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of experience in a desktop technician role or similar position in a medium to large corporate environment.
  • 3+ years of hands-on working experience in utilizing problem-solving and decision-making skills to provide technical support and customer service in a fast-paced, high-demand office environment.
  • 2+ years of hands-on technical working experience in resolving technical issues related to Windows 10 Operating System for PCs and Macintosh iOS/macOS.
  • Ability to demonstrate technical working knowledge on all aspects of end-user computing, dealing with complex technical issues, and working knowledge in the use and support of Office 365.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple complex initiatives, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and excellent customer service focus record.
  • Able to work with minimum supervision and in collaboration with a large team, strong relationship and people-oriented skills, and strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with internal and external business partners and vendors.
  • Post-secondary degree in computer science or a relevant field of study.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Banking/FI experience is an asset.
