About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Asset Protection Specialist to join our team at RONA Inc. As an Asset Protection Specialist, you will play a critical role in protecting our company's assets, ensuring a safe working and shopping environment, and promoting operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Asset Protection and Safety
    • Promote and implement asset protection policies, strategies, and procedures to minimize loss and ensure a safe working environment.
    • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential security threats and develop prevention solutions.
    • Collaborate with store management teams to establish and maintain a culture of safety and security.
  • Training and Development
    • Develop and deliver training programs to educate store associates on asset protection best practices and procedures.
    • Provide coaching and mentoring to store associates to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Investigations and Analysis
    • Conduct thorough investigations into security incidents and develop recommendations to prevent future occurrences.
    • Analyze performance indicators associated with losses, expenses, and safety to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration and Communication
    • Partner with other teams, including HR, Legal, and Communications, to protect the employer brand and ensure a positive image.
    • Communicate effectively with store associates, management, and other stakeholders to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
Requirements
  • Experience
    • At least 3 years of experience in asset protection, loss prevention, or a related field.
    • Experience conducting audits, investigations, and risk assessments.
  • Education
    • College or university degree in a related field, such as business, criminology, or security management.
  • Skills
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Proficiency in IT tools and software, including auditing and reporting systems.
