Lead, Operational Excellence and National Projects

About the Role
MCD McKesson Canada Corporation / La Corporation McKesson Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Lead, Operational Excellence and National Projects. This role will play a critical part in driving operational excellence and national projects across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multiple cross-functional project teams in parallel to drive operational excellence and national projects.
- Act as an operational SME for smaller cross-functional initiatives.
- Represent operations within the core project team, providing guidance on operational constraints and influencing global project strategy.
- Control and manage all operational excellence major projects, identifying conflicts, planning resources, dates, and tasks to ensure achievement of key project milestones.
- Create and standardize project management tools, train project managers, and mentor project teams.
- Develop and present project charters to initiate projects and obtain executive buy-in.
- Establish project teams and governance structures, creating and maintaining consolidated master project plans.
- Ensure workstream plans are complete and accurate, identifying dependencies and links across project teams and workstreams.
- Support project financial management activities, tracking and forecasting project expenses.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify discrepancies, ensuring justification is documented and approved.
- Lead project team coordination activities and meetings.
- Prepare and distribute project documentation, ensuring project deliverables are recorded in central project repositories.
- Provide training and mentorship to project team members on project management principles and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
- Solid understanding and experience in Supply Chain Management.
- 10+ years of experience in a similar position.
- Project Management Professional certification or Six Sigma certification is preferred.
- Approximate 25% travel associated with the role.
