Project Manager Energy and Emissions

Fraser Health is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager, Energy and Emissions to join our Energy and Environmental Sustainability team. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, coordinating, and managing the implementation of low carbon resilient project initiatives for Fraser Health.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and prioritize low carbon resilient opportunities through energy audits, assessments, and stakeholder engagement.
- Facilitate consensus among internal and external stakeholders to secure financial support and human resources for project implementation.
- Manage low carbon resilience projects to ensure successful implementation and post-project measurement and verification.
- Work with assigned staff to review, analyze, and interpret low carbon emissions data, and implement changes to meet specific Greenhouse Gas emissions targets.
- Partner with Planning and Projects teams to develop project charters, plans, and deliverables.
- Contribute to the implementation of effective processes to assess project risks, identify risk mitigation strategies, and monitor risk throughout the project life cycle.
- Provide direction to project team members, convey policies and priorities, coordinate work, and ensure issues are resolved or escalated to meet project deliverables and timelines.
- Prepare reports, memos, proposals, business cases, and deliver presentations to secure buy-in for low carbon resilient projects.
- Maintain industry-leading knowledge of low carbon reduction practices and technologies through liaison with experts, literature review, and attendance at seminars and conferences.
The successful candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, business, planning, sustainability, or a related field, supplemented by five years of recent, related experience in a leadership role in project management within a large complex organization.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate the leadership practices of the Fraser Health Leadership Framework of Clear, Caring, and Courageous, and create the conditions for people to succeed.
They will also possess comprehensive knowledge of project management principles and methodologies, experience with capital and operational projects, and proficiency with computer applications including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and applicable project management databases.
