We are seeking a skilled Health Care Aide to join our team at Pan Am Clinic. As a Health Care Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support to our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with patient care and provide basic supportive care as assigned, working under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse or Registered Psychiatric Nurse.
- Act as a member of the healthcare team, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Organize and prioritize assigned workload, ensuring timely and efficient completion of tasks.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members, using strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Respond to a variety of simultaneous demands, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively.
- Perform as a team member, seeking assistance as necessary and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.
- Read, write, speak, and understand English, with the ability to interact well with others.
- Successful completion of a recognized Health Care Aide certificate program.
- Ability to lift and move heavy patients, with physical health and stamina to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability and willingness to work in stressful environments that may include aggressive and/or agitated individuals.
