Accounting Technician Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Accounting Technician to join our client's team in the Old Port of Montreal. This is a permanent on-site position with access to an employee parking.

Responsibilities:
  • Verify and enter revenues into the accounting system
  • Maintain daily payment records and reconcile with bank account
  • Prepare sales reports
  • Validate various expense reports
  • Prepare customer invoices and follow up on overdue accounts
  • Submit supplier invoices for approval
  • Enter invoices and attach all supporting documents
  • Ensure that accounts payable comply with payment terms
  • Prepare petty cash report
  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports
Requirements:
  • DEC/DEP in accounting
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in accounting
  • Bilingualism in spoken and written English and French
  • Experience in the hotel industry (an asset)
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and respect for deadlines
  • Proficiency in accounting software, Excel advanced level
