Job Title: Bookkeeper

M&P Truck & Trailer Repairs Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and general ledgers.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations, including GAAP and tax laws.
  • Payroll and Benefits Administration: Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll, maintain employee benefits records, and ensure compliance with employment standards.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
  • Skills: MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Office, attention to detail, fast-paced environment, overtime required, repetitive tasks, accurate, client focus, organized, time management.
Work Environment:

M&P Truck & Trailer Repairs Inc. is a fast-paced and dynamic work environment. The successful candidate will be required to work in a team-oriented environment and be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

The primary language of work is English.

Hours:

The successful candidate will work 35 hours per week.
