Accounting Clerk Job Description

M&P Truck & Trailer Repairs Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and performing various accounting tasks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Accounting Tasks: Perform various accounting tasks, such as calculating and preparing cheques for payroll, calculating fixed assets and depreciation, and reconciling accounts.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare financial reports, including trial balance of books and other statistical, financial, and accounting reports.
  • Tax Compliance: Prepare tax returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
Requirements:
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in accounting or a related field.
  • Skills: MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, and MS Office.
Work Environment:

The Accounting Clerk will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on attention to detail. The role requires the ability to work overtime and perform repetitive tasks.
