About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Rock Mechanics Engineer to join our Technical Services Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting rock mechanics studies to support various projects and mining operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, manage, collect, and analyze characterization data of the rock mass.
  • Develop and use geomechanical analysis tools and numerical modeling to evaluate structure stability and optimize underground and surface works.
  • Participate in underground and open pit excavation design projects.
  • Conduct analyses of excavation support systems and pit walls stability.
  • Support divisions and project managers in matters related to rock mechanics.
  • Work with a multidisciplinary team and coordinate design activities with external engineering firms.
  • Write technical reports and travel to Agnico Eagle sites to provide technical support.
Requirements
  • University Degree in Geological Engineering, Mining Engineering, or Civil Engineering.
  • Graduate degree with specialization in Rock Mechanics Engineering is considered an asset.
  • Valid driving license and membership in a Canadian association of professional engineers.
  • Minimum of five to ten years of relevant experience in rock mechanics, numerical modeling, and project management.
  • Proficiency in specialized software and languages such as English and French.
