Position Overview: The Chief Operations Officer (COO) plays a vital role in our executive team, reporting directly to the President and collaborating closely with the Chief Construction Officer and Chief Financial Officer. The COO will contribute significantly to the formulation and execution of WMC's mission, vision, and strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive the execution of strategic, operational, and performance objectives while fostering a culture that attracts and retains top talent aligned with WMC's values.
  • Enhance innovation, performance, and profitability across all business areas.
  • Contribute to the development of the organizational vision and ensure alignment with both short- and long-term goals.
  • Oversee operational processes, project timelines, and employee productivity to maximize efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage financial and risk assessments by analyzing revenue streams, optimizing growth strategies, and implementing financial procedures.
  • Assess and implement improved processes and technologies to promote continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals to foster partnerships and drive business growth.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in the construction industry is preferred.
  • A degree in a relevant field is required.
  • Strong understanding of business principles, including financial management and strategic planning.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present and negotiate effectively.
  • Detail-oriented and organized, with strong planning capabilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite is essential.
  • Willingness to travel and adapt to flexible working hours as necessary.
