Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assistant to join our team at Maple Leaf Marinas Holdings G.P. Inc. The successful candidate will assist in performing routine maintenance work and repairs to ship's engine, machinery, and auxiliary equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in performing routine maintenance work and repairs to ship's engine, machinery, and auxiliary equipment
  • Clean engine parts and maintain a clean engine room
  • Clean, chip, and paint deck surfaces
  • Monitor engine, machinery, and equipment indicators
  • Operate and maintain off-loading liquid pumps and valves
  • Operate, maintain, and repair deck equipment
  • Stand watch and steer ship or self-propelled vessel under the direction of an officer
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 to less than 7 months of experience or equivalent experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Physically demanding
  • Hand-eye co-ordination
  • Work Term: Permanent
  • Work Language: English
  • Hours: 40 hours per week
