The University of Saskatchewan is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Mixed Methods Research Manager to join the Canadian Hub for Applied and Social Research (CHASR). As a key member of the CHASR team, the successful candidate will provide research support services to faculty and external clients, utilizing mixed research methods to address complex research questions.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the delivery of quantitative and qualitative research support services, including mixed research design, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Assist in managing and coordinating research projects, including creating timelines, monitoring progress, and ensuring project completion within set timelines and budget.
- Provide administrative assistance to Research Managers in overseeing the day-to-day operations and administration of projects.
- Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with faculty, staff, and students, as well as external partners and clients.
- Interact with internal and external clients in a professional and courteous manner.
- Bachelor's degree in social or applied sciences or related discipline (or equivalent degrees and experience).
- Three years of related experience in managing and conducting both quantitative and qualitative research projects.
- Experience in basic to complex quantitative analyses, data quality control, qualitative data coding and analysis, and mixed analyses.
- Proficiency in using statistical packages such as SPSS, NVivo, and Microsoft 365.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working in a research academic environment and collecting quantitative/qualitative data.
- Experience with academic writing and publishing research findings.
- Knowledge of research methodologies and statistical analysis software.
