About the RoleWe are seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our food processing equipment. Your expertise will be crucial in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining our electrical systems, as well as providing guidance and support to our production team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance and production teams
- Conduct regular equipment inspections and perform preventative maintenance
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with production teams to ensure clear SOPs and instructions for equipment operation
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company standards
Requirements:
- Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) 433A license is required
- Valid 442A Ontario Industrial Electrician trade license is an asset
- 5 years of industrial food equipment experience is required
- Knowledge of robots, conveyors, high-speed packaging equipment, and electrical/electronic controls
- 5 years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
- Experience troubleshooting with PLCs
- Strong leadership skills and passion for quality and food safety
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and highly organized
- Works well under pressure
- Preference will be given to candidates with Lean Six Sigma
- Forklift license and experience is considered an asset
