About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Electrician to join our team at Treasure Mills Inc., a leading Canadian food manufacturer. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our production equipment and facilities.

Your primary focus will be on providing guidance and support to our production, R&D, quality assurance, and operations teams. You will be responsible for effective troubleshooting, repair, installation, and preventative maintenance of our equipment. Your proactive approach will help detect potential problems and recommend necessary repairs or maintenance.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of industrial food equipment, including flow wrappers, conveyors, high-speed packaging equipment, and electrical/electronic controls. Your experience in conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures will be essential in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our operations.

We are looking for a team player with strong leadership skills, a passion for quality and food safety, and excellent written and verbal communication skills. If you have experience working with AutoCAD or similar software, that's a plus. A valid 442A Ontario Industrial Electrician trade license and 5 years of industrial food equipment experience are required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide guidance and support to production, R&D, quality assurance, and operations teams
  • Effective troubleshooting, repair, installation, and preventative maintenance of equipment
  • Proactive detection of potential problems and recommendation of necessary repairs or maintenance
  • Work with production to ensure clear SOPs/instructions are provided for all equipment
  • Ensure safe plant operations

Requirements:

  • Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) 433A license required
  • Valid 442A Ontario Industrial Electrician trade license an asset
  • 5 years of industrial food equipment experience required
  • Knowledge of robots, conveyors, high-speed packaging equipment, and electrical/electronic controls
  • 5 years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures
  • Experience troubleshooting with PLC's
  • Knowledge of working on AutoCAD or similar software program
  • Computer skills required for Microsoft Office
  • Strong leadership skills and passion for quality and food safety
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and highly organized
  • Works well under pressure
  • Preference will be given to candidates with Lean Six Sigma
  • Forklift license and experience considered an asset
