Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and implement child-care programs that cater to the diverse needs of children, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment that fosters growth and development.
  • Child Assessment and Reporting: Conduct regular assessments of children's progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness, and prepare comprehensive reports for parents, guardians, or supervisors.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Establish and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, community service providers, and parents, ensuring seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Environment and Safety: Plan and maintain a safe and healthy environment that protects the well-being of children, adhering to all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Staff Meetings and Professional Development: Participate in regular staff meetings to discuss children's progress, share best practices, and engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
  • Experience: Previous experience in early childhood education or a related field is an asset.
  • Certifications and Licenses: Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate, First Aid Certificate, and CPR Certificate.
  • Language: Fluency in English is required.
  • Work Schedule: 30-40 hours per week.
