We are seeking a highly skilled GIS Systems Analyst to join our team at the City of Kingston. As a key member of our GIS team, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining our corporate and internal GIS systems and web applications.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in geospatial data analysis, GIS systems development, and project management. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining geospatial data and geographic information systems, as well as providing technical support and expertise to internal staff and the general public.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain corporate and internal GIS systems and web applications
- Provide technical support and expertise to internal staff and the general public
- Design, implement, and maintain geospatial data and geographic information systems
- Conduct ongoing technical research of new and existing systems and processes
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in geospatial data analysis, GIS systems development, and project management. You will also need to have excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, as well as strong project management skills and the ability to work effectively independently and as a team member.
Additionally, you will need to have experience with Esri Platform suite, including ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and ArcGIS Online, as well as experience with relational databases and modern programming languages.
