Position Overview

As a Home Support Worker at CareGivers Inc., you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our clients. Your responsibilities will include providing essential personal care and support in the comfort of their own homes.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role is considered an asset.
Work Environment

You will be working directly in the homes of clients, ensuring a safe and comfortable atmosphere.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer bedside and personal care to clients.
  • Assist clients with bathing and maintaining personal hygiene.
  • Launder clothing and household linens as needed.
  • Perform light housekeeping and cleaning tasks.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support.
  • Assist with personal care needs.
  • Shop for food and household necessities.
  • Prepare and serve nutritious meals tailored to client preferences.
Certifications Required
  • Certificate of Conduct.
  • First Aid Certification.
Special Needs Experience

Experience working with children with special needs, particularly those with autism, is highly valued.

Safety and Security
  • Completion of a criminal record check is mandatory.
  • References will be required.
  • Immunization records must be provided.
  • A tuberculosis test is necessary.
  • Vulnerable sector check is required.
Transportation Requirements

Having your own transportation is essential for this role.

Physical Demands
  • Ability to bend, crouch, and kneel.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking is required.
  • Repetitive tasks may be involved.
  • Weight handling of up to 9 kg (20 lbs) is expected.
