Material Movement Coordinator

Job Overview
As a key member of the Qualico Canada team, the Forklift Operator will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials within our production facilities. Reporting to the Production Manager, this individual will be responsible for operating a forklift to gather and move incoming and outgoing materials to their desired locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a diesel, electric, or propane-powered forklift to safely move goods, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
- Assemble customer orders, shrink wrap, and pack materials to ensure proper packaging for delivery, verifying accuracy and quality.
- Verify product accuracy when loading and unloading shipments, ensuring all documents are accurate and forwarded.
- Supply production areas with feedstock materials, maintaining organized inventory levels and ensuring sufficient raw materials are available.
- Conduct regular inventory checks, verifying product counts and reporting discrepancies.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and maintenance, reporting major mechanical issues to the Production Manager.
- Collaborate with colleagues to promote a safe work environment, adhering to Qualico Canada's Safety Program and reporting safety concerns.
- Assist in training new employees, providing guidance and support to ensure a smooth onboarding process.
Work Environment
The Forklift Operator will work in a fast-paced production environment, exposed to noise from equipment and machinery, as well as inclement weather and dust. Occasional overtime may be required to meet production demands.
